Luke Norman (owner) has worked in the industry since 2001 training originally at our UK branch before starting this business here in Australia, 2004 saw the birth of the Australian leg of Picture Hanging Systems.
After the meticulous planning of the business with Gavin Large and Robin Burt (business partners) they launched the company with the vision that it would become an Australia wide industry leader as it is in the UK, the Australian market was very receptive to the company which back then was one of three Australia wide businesses in this specialised niche market.
“Having started the business from home with a workbench, some wrapping materials and what seems now to be a tiny amount of stock I concentrated on local installations as well as Australia wide distribution and of course giving a free advice service to our customers as part of our first class service promise” says Luke, “The website started off with the key products and as the business grew quite rapidly I had to keep up with the demand of more and more applications of picture rail, before the business was a year old and after employing someone to handle the dispatching of the products, we had to move out to a bigger premises accommodate it all”.
